PSL 10: Rizwan Reflects After Multan’s Heartbreaking Last-Ball Defeat to Quetta

In a thrilling encounter during the 28th match of Pakistan’s premier T20 league (PSL 10), Multan Sultans fell short by a narrow margin against Quetta Gladiators, concluding their campaign with only one win in ten matches. Chasing a competitive target of 187, Quetta Gladiators clinched victory on the final delivery, propelled by Hasan Nawaz’s match-winning 67* off 38 balls, which included six sixes.

Quetta’s chase began explosively with Saud Shakeel and Khawaja Nafay stitching a 77-run partnership in under eight overs. Nafay, playing his second game of the season, accelerated the innings with a quick half-century. Despite moments of dominance, Multan struggled to contain the Gladiators’ batting firepower.

Multan Sultans’ captain Mohammad Rizwan acknowledged the spirited contest and praised emerging talent like Hasan Nawaz, emphasizing their potential to strengthen Pakistan’s cricket future. Rizwan himself shone individually, finishing as the tournament’s highest run-scorer with 367 runs, including a century and a fifty. Quetta Gladiators solidified their top position on the table with 15 points, securing a playoff berth.
